Get Involved at the Cluster
The Capitol Hill Cluster School has an excellent administration and amazing teachers and support staff. What makes the Cluster even stronger are the families who get involved in their children’s education. Every family is asked to donate 20 hours to the Cluster each school year. Volunteering makes a difference – check out some of the projects the PTA has funded with dollars raised from volunteer hours.
Volunteering is an important way for you to be involved in your child’s school, and volunteers are essential to the broader success of our school. Parents and other adult family members are welcomed as volunteers in individual classrooms and are encouraged to talk directly with the classroom teacher to make arrangements for volunteering.
Below are some ways you can make a difference at the Cluster every day, every week, or every season. Click on a link to learn more and sign-up.
In The Classroom
Become a Room Parent, chaperone a Field Trip, participate in your child’s FoodPrints lesson, or simply discuss ideas with your child’s teacher about how you can contribute your time and talents on a regular basis. Contact your child’s teachers to offer your support. Get Involved in the Classroom
At Your Campus
Become a Reading or Math Buddy, help your campus librarian shelve books, participate in garden work days, volunteer with Running Club or help out on the Salad Bar. Contact your PTA Campus Representative to learn more and volunteer.
The Cluster hosts several special events throughout the year to foster community and help raise funds that directly support the programs and resources available for Cluster students.
