What's Happening at the Cluster
Cluster Ready for Back to School
"I'm happy to share that after final budgeting this week we are fully staffed at the Cluster School as we have been in past years," says Cluster Principal Brandon Eatman. "The only exception is the loss of the first grade classroom aides and that reflects new DCPS policy for all first grade classrooms across the city. Fortunately, we have a strong first grade teaching team and a commitment to limit our first grade classes to less than 22 students per room to ensure each student receives the care and excellence in teaching that's always been a hallmark of the first grade experience at Watkins.
"There are lots of dreams for this coming year that I'll
be sharing in future newsletters. I'm confident we'll get there
with everyone's help and support. I look forward to welcoming
you all to the Cluster on Monday."

Cluster School Part of Safe Route Pilot
The
Capitol Hill Cluster School is one of 13
D.C. elementary and middle schools chosen to participate in
the “Safe Routes to School” pilot program -- a partnership between DDOT and DCPS to create more safe, convenient
and fun routes for students to get to school on foot or by bike.
Peabody-Watkins Metrobus
Metro provides a special bus route between Peabody and Watkins
campuses in the morning and afternoon; the fare is $1.25. Bus
monitors are provided by the PTA. All riders (even return riders)
must fill out a bus registration form annually.
Join the PTA Today
