What's Happening at the Cluster

Cluster Ready for Back to School

"I'm happy to share that after final budgeting this week we are fully staffed at the Cluster School as we have been in past years," says Cluster Principal Brandon Eatman. "The only exception is the loss of the first grade classroom aides and that reflects new DCPS policy for all first grade classrooms across the city. Fortunately, we have a strong first grade teaching team and a commitment to limit our first grade classes to less than 22 students per room to ensure each student receives the care and excellence in teaching that's always been a hallmark of the first grade experience at Watkins.

"There are lots of dreams for this coming year that I'll be sharing in future newsletters. I'm confident we'll get there with everyone's help and support. I look forward to welcoming you all to the Cluster on Monday."

Learn about the Stuart-Hobson Archives

Our archives reflect almost 80 years of history of Stuart-Hobson Middle School (formerly Stuart Junior High School). It includes roll books, PTA scrapbooks, and graduating class photos from the 1920s through the early 1960s. Have some Stuart Hobson memorabilia to share? If you're an almuni, perhaps you can help the History Club with an oral history? To learn more, please contact the archivists: Satu Haase-Webb, satuhw@yahoo.com or Beth Behrendt, eabehrendt@hotmail.com; or the school librarian, Jan MacKinnon at janmb2@yahoo.com.
