MScott Berkowitz
Principal
MScott Berkowitz is the Principal of Peabody/Watkins. Prior to joining the Cluster, he was principal of Jefferson-Houston PreK-8 IB School in Alexandria City Public Schools. Under his leadership, Jefferson-Houston achieved full state accreditation, a milestone the school had been trying to achieve for ten years. Prior to this position, MScott was a Mary Jane Patterson Fellow and worked at CW Harris Elementary School and Hardy Middle School. MScott has lived in DC for over 16 years with his wife and two daughters. He holds a master's degree and undergraduate degree from Cornell University.

Boisvert
Assistant Principal
Mark Boisvert is the Assistant Principal of Watkins Elementary School. He came to us from DCPS Central Office, where he served as Manager of Elementary Literacy Curriculum and Professional Development. Prior to DCPS, Mark was an elementary teacher and instructional coach in Manchester, NH. Teaching and coaching in the Manchester School District provided a unique opportunity to serve a diverse population of students, the majority representing immigrants and refugees from around the world. He previously owned a children’s summer theater company, as well as worked as a high school performing arts director. He has degrees from Columbia University, Rivier University, and Hofstra University. Mark is excited to be a member of the Watkins community!
