ABOUT
Peabody provides a nurturing and developmentally-appropriate foundation to students’ school experiences. Teachers and staff encourage cooperation, empathy, responsibility, self-control, and collaborative problem-solving for students in PreK3, PreK4, and Kindergarten. Children learn through a variety of teacher-led and independent activities, including a daily morning meeting and student-chosen center time. Play is an important part of every day, with ample recess time and special classes, including physical education, to keep students moving, while a daily rest period gives our littlest ones some quiet time each afternoon. Students leave our early childhood campus with a strong understanding in literacy, mathematics, science, and social studies. All classrooms are staffed by a teacher who is assisted by an instructional aide. Peabody’s staff includes dedicated special education teachers, before- and after-care, art instruction, library, physical education, and music. Peabody students participate in the PTA-supported FoodPrints curriculum.
VISION
The Peabody and Watkins community holds a common belief in ALL students. As an inclusive school we will strive to develop open-minded learners who preserve and demonstrate social-emotional and academic abilities. Our students will be prepared to compete globally and be successful in college, career and life.
